The Clemson Rainbow Fellowship Executive Board oversees the entire organization, training mentors, hosting events, and collaborating with other organizations! Each member mentors one mentee a semester.

TYLER MCDOUGALD

President

Pronouns: He/Him/His
Hailing from Greenville, SC, Tyler studies English and History. Tyler founded Clemson Rainbow Fellowship in the fall of 2019 and continues to serve as President. He also serves as the Inclusion and Equity Chair in Clemson's Undergraduate Student Senate. Tyler hopes to make Clemson University more welcoming to LGBTQIA+ community members through programming and advocacy. When not in a meeting, you can find Tyler loving on his dog, Elvira. After graduation, Tyler hopes to attend law school.

CASSIDY SMITH

Vice-President

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Cassidy is an Industrial Engineering major at Clemson University from Athens, GA. Cassidy joined CRF in 2019 in the first cohort of mentors. She was elected to serve as Vice President of the organization for the 20-21 term. Cassidy strives to help students across campus connect with the LGBTQ+ community on and off campus. After graduation, she has absolutely no idea where she’ll end up.

MATT SHIELDS

Events Coordinator

Pronouns: He/Him/His
Matt studies Accounting at Clemson and is from Simpsonville, SC. Serving on the inaugural board as one of the Recruitment chairs, he focused on the recruitment of mentors, mentees, and spreading awareness of CRF on campus. He also serves on the executive boards for Phi Sigma Pi Honor Fraternity and TigerLive Entertainment. During his free time, Matt enjoys cooking, baking, and volunteering at the local Helping Hands children’s shelter. After graduation, he hopes to attend medical school and improve upon the disparities in healthcare within the LGBTQIA+ community.

DELLA MAGGIO

Recruitment Chair

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Della is a history and political science double major from Greenville, SC. She has served as a CRF recruitment chair since the birth of the organization, primarily working to plan recruitment events and orchestrate mentor training. She also functions as the president of Planned Parenthood Generation Action at Clemson, as well as the Editor-in-Chief of Clemson's international affairs magazine, The Pendulum. Additionally, Della serves as a board member of the CUSG LGBTQIA+ Engagement Committee, and she is involved in creative inquiries that circulate immigration and incarceration reform. In her free time, Della loves finding new music and making Spotify playlists. Following graduation, Della hopes to pursue a major fellowship and attend graduate school to study international human rights.

KAT EAVES

Outreach Chair

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Hailing from Powdersville, SC, Kat Eaves studies Visual Arts and Film with an emphasis on Print Making. Interested in the intersection of advocacy and art, Kat served on Clemson Rainbow Fellowship's inaugural executive board, designing our logo and multiple other graphics. Kat also serves as the Director of Clemson Undergraduate Student Government's LGBTQIA+ Engagement Committee. When not leading, you can find Kat cooking (and eating) good food. After graduation, Kat plans to either pursue a graduate program or work in the arts and public service.

C DURDEN

Staff Advisor

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
C Durden is the adviser of CRF. As the Associate Director for Multicultural Community Development at Clemson, C's job is to uplift the LGBTQIA+ community through programming, education, and advocacy. When she's not yelling about queer things, you can catch her writing poetry, cooking up a storm, or being desperately in love with her fiancee, Apollonia.
